Fapco History

Fapco was founded by Larry Gardiner in Buchanan, Michigan, in 1970. After beginning as a dip-painting operation, Fapco began packaging its customers’ products and soon evolved into a packaging services specialist. Fapco developed a strong core business in packaging replacement parts for a variety of industries including automotive, appliances, heavy trucks, fork lifts, compressors and HVAC equipment. Packaging services were complemented by the addition of numerous value added services including inspection, packaging engineering, kit assembly, warehousing and distribution, and parts return processing. Fapco was a pioneer in bringing quality to contract packaging, achieving ISO9002 registration in 1994 and following with QS9000 registration in 1997. In recent years, Fapco has expanded its capabilities to include consumer products packaging and automated high volume kit packaging for fasteners and small parts.
